This is a shoot that I’ve wanted to post about for a while now, and lets be honest – both busy season and life made me put this on the back burner for a while. We actually put this together back in July and since I’ll be headed to Rome in exactly one month, I thought it was fitting to share how we turned Virginia in to Tuscany!
Everyone who made this little dream of mine a reality deserves some serious recognition!
Let’s start with Leah, from Leah Davenport Events and Design! This girl has officially coordinated and designed 2 huge shoots with me, and believe it or not, she was across the country putting the plans in motion for this one! Her attention to detail is incredible and I am so lucky to call her a friend now!
Our gorgeous yellow and cream floral design was made a reality by none other than Haley from Cedar and Lime Co. Haley and I actually met when I first started and created the florals for a low-key senior shoot I did waaaaay back when! Her ability to create art with these florals is a game changer, and I honestly couldn’t have picked a better girl for the job!
Our models, Jack and Caroline slayed the game! Bringing out their inner fierce-ness posing perfectly with a classic 1940’s Dodge – Caroline looking like royalty in her Jeanette’s Bridal Gown (p.s. I rented that gown with her measurements alone and I am SO impressed that it fit her like A GLOVE!) Hunt Country Jewelers provided the most beautiful jewelry you’ve ever seen. These hand-made pieces are all one of a kind, and I’ve had my eye on the ring Caroline wore for over a year now! Not to mention, Finn from Blush Away Make-up and Ashley from The Stylist Abroad killed the hair and make-up on Caroline, even providing touch ups through out! And don’t worry our “Groom” got a little pampering too!
We frolicked around the grounds of Airlie Estate in Warrenton VA, which made the perfect backdrop for this shoot. The massive sprawling staircase in the back was straight out of Italy, and the gardens definitely gave me full Tuscan vibes!
Party Rental LTD is probably one of my favorite rental companies now, just for the sheer fact of how insanely easy they made this process for us! From the idea, to the execution, they were quick, responsive, and just as excited as we were!
And last, but certainly not least, our baker, Sally from The Cake Bee provided the yummiest, and most whimsical cake design ever! And we couldn’t have finished off our charcuterie table without Becca bringing on some serious hand-lettering!
Everything was PICTURE PERFECT and I had SO much fun putting together this dream of a shoot with everyone. I am so, incredibly proud of how this shoot turned out and I’m so excited to share it with everyone!
