Megan and Cameron’s wedding at Brenwood Lake in Stanley, Virginia was pure magic from start to finish. Nestled in the mountains, their day felt like a perfect blend of West Elm elegance meets laid-back mountain charm—with stunning florals by Good Earth Flowers in soft blues, crisp whites, and lush greens tying it all together.

These two are not only incredibly accomplished (both in medical school and navigating long distance until residencies and fellowships are over), but they’re also best friends to their core. That best-friends-first kind of love? It radiated all day—from their private laughs together to the way they were completely present with each other through portraits, making my job behind the camera an absolute joy.

Their personalities came through in every detail, especially their genius seating chart: a nod to their favorite show, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, dubbed “The Gang Goes to a Wedding.” It was the perfect mix of humor, heart, and intentionality—just like them.

I was beyond grateful to execute this day side by side with my best friend and planning powerhouse, Katie from Tilly and Teal. Together, we brought Megan and Cameron’s vision to life seamlessly, setting the stage for an unforgettable celebration.

And what a party it was! DJ Craig Wood kept the dance floor absolutely alive, with guests of all ages getting down well into the night. The grand finale? A jaw-dropping fireworks display over the lake, wrapping up the night in the most spectacular, cinematic fashion.

Megan and Cameron’s day was one of those weddings that reminds me exactly why I do what I do. A beautiful setting, intentional details, and two people whose love lights up every room—they made this one truly unforgettable.
