United States Wedding Venues | Travel Bucket List | Sarandipity Photography

Posted in: Travel

The travel bug has hit me something fierce recently. I guess your first trip to Europe will do that to ya! That said, I have compiled a list of my top 10 US based bucket list venues! Lets be honest, I would be honored to photograph anyone, anywhere, in any of these states but these are venues I have both been coveting for a while, and that I have recently discovered. Enjoy!

US Based Wedding Venue Bucket List

White Sparrow Barn | Quinlan, Texas. I feel like this is on everyone’s bucket list at one time or another, but this ALL WHITE barn is screaming my name!

Oheka Castle | Huntington, New York. Ever since Taylor Swift belted Blank Space in these gorgeous halls, I have been dying to witness this beauty myself. And to top it off, my new favorite song, Sucker by the Jonas Brothers was filmed here too, and to say I am obsessed with that music video is an understatement!

Strong Mansion | Dickerson, MD. Okay, so this isn’t technically a destination BUT it is technically outside of Virginia SOOO, roll with it, okay? I drove past this beautifulĀ  mansion on my way to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain last year, and I had to slow down to realize it actually WAS a working venue and not just someone’s house! It’s absolutely stunning and hidden right on the side of Sugarloaf Mountain!

Villa Siena | Gilbert, Arizona. The moment I discovered this venue, I was obsessed! Not to mention, I have been dying to visit Arizona for as long as I can remember, so there’s that.

Montage Palmetto Bluff | Bluffton, South Carolina. This gem of a resort is something seriously special! Not only is it absolutely stunning, but you have so many options to choose from for ceremony spaces! One of which is an actual yacht. I mean, COME ON.

Sanctuary Camelback Resort | Paradise Valley, Arizona. Again with another Arizona venue, but who can resist those views!

Villa Woodbine | Miami, Florida. The foliage in this place is unreal! Not to mention, the Spanish architecture is so dreamy – you also have the option to host your reception inside or they can provide you with a magnificent clear tent to soak in all the Floridian-goodness!

Elms Mansion | New Orleans, Louisiana. The moment I saw the great room (called The Louis XVI room) of this mansion I was hooked – I mean, epic bridal portraits for DAYYSS in there! And they’re the only historic home on “The Avenue” to provide event space!

Stonewood Farms | Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This quaint manor house sits right on an Alabama lake and I am dying over the elegance that this place is dripping in!

Atlanta History Center – Swan House Gardens | Atlanta, Georgia. This whole history center is absolutely stunning, but what I am living for is the garden center! This ceremony space is literally what dreams are made of, not to mention the Grand Overlook Ballroom is serious goals!

The Governor Thomas Bennett House | Charleston, South Carolina. This charming manor house is exactly what Charleston is all about! Not only can it host an intimate elopement, but it can hold up to 200 guests on their lawn! I will be visiting Charleston in October for one of my sweet couple’s weddings so hopefully I will get to sneak a peak of this while I’m there!

p.s. I did my absolute best trying to credit these photographers – most websites do not have them listed, so I do apologize if they are credited incorrectly!
