Boy oh boy, these two are seriously something else. Erika and I met years ago back when I worked retail, and I immediately knew we were going to be friends! I have photographed 3 of her friends weddings thus far, and now its HER turn! I can’t tell you how excited I was when I heard the news that Wes proposed and I was beyond honored when Erika chose me to share their special day with them. This engagement session was one of my favorites because A.) This girl knows style like no ones business! She rocked her Sarah Jessica Parker shoes that we got together, and channeled her inner Meghan Markle in that stunning Rent The Runway gown! and B.) These two have SO much fun together! I loved watching them turn into models as the time went on, and seriously get into it by the end!

Erika and Wes love to share in music together, and collect old records as a pass-time, so naturally we had to start our session at an awesome record store in Leesburg, VA called Dig! Erika’s super fun yellow dress looked like it was made for that record store, and went perfectly with their poppy red walls. These two found stacks of records to take home in the end, and I even found the perfect pair of vintage jeans, so it was a win-win for all of us!

After our shopping trip at Dig! we headed over to Salamander Resort and Spa to finish up our session together! Wes proposed right out front of Salamander, and it was so sweet to go back and share their engagement there. I was dying over Erika’s outfit choices and loved that she brought her Sarah Jessica Parker shoes to photograph! A few months ago we went on a shopping trip together to meet SJP and treat ourselves to some fancy new heels, and she picked out the most perfect pair of blue pumps to rock for her session! Not to mention, those killer Louboutins paired seamlessly with her Rent the Runway gown and Wes’s grey suit! She definitely channeled some Megan Markle for that outfit! (If you can’t tell I am SUPER obsessed with this incredible wardrobe)

If this session is anything compared to what their wedding is going to be like, you better watch out! Charleston isn’t going to know what hit it!
