| | JESSICA + SCOTT , RIVER CREEK CLUB WEDDING | |
You know what my absolute favorite part about my job is? In reality it has nothing to do with the fancy details, or the stunning gowns (even though that’s totally a bonus). Its the connections and relationships I create with my couples, and Jessica and Scott are the embodiment of just that. Jessica found me, and booked me sight unseen, after their original photographer fell through. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit nervous about that, as I usually meet my couples before hand to make sure we’re a good fit together, but I trusted my gut and completely went for it! And oh man, am I so glad I did.
We did, eventually, meet up over coffee and discussed all things wedding, and I was ecstatic as she told me all of her little details. All I kept thinking was this girl is just as extra as I am and it made my heart SO happy! She and I clicked immediately, and I knew right then and there this was going to be an amazing experience for all of us!
We bonded even more during their engagement session at Sylvanside Farm, as we frolicked around in the hot sun and created some epic memories together.
Fast forward to their wedding day, AND MY GOODNESS. River Creek Club was the most amazing venue, PLUS these two did everything I could have ever asked, and then some. First off, there is nothing better than being greeted by a squealing bride as you enter the room, knowing she’s just as happy to see you, as you are her! As she wrapped me in a huge hug, and then introduced me to all of her bridesmaids, I was becoming just as giddy as she was!
Once things settled down, she pulled out ALL of her amazing and well-thought-out details! From her enormous invitation suite, to her Mrs. Box, and her Bella Belle shoes – I was practically drooling with excitement. She even purchased MULTIPLE pairs of shoes for me to play with, because she didn’t know which ones I would like most! (I mean, can you get any more perfect of a human?). How often do you find someone who is just as obsessed with details as you are? Practically NEVER!
Once she was ready to get in her dress, we popped outside to grab one of my all-time-favorite shots – THE CHAMPAGNE SHOWER! I absolutely LOVE doing this with my brides, right before they get in their dress, because it not only calms their nerves and gives them a chance to relax, but it gets all of the bridesmaids super excited to start the party!
Can we talk about her dress for a minute!? If you couldn’t already tell we have similar taste – we shared similarities in our weddings gowns too! Her illusion sleeves paired with a gorgeous a-line ball gown, was fit for a queen, and she pulled it off PERFECTLY! Not to mention, she wore the LONGEST cathedral veil I have ever seen, it had lace all along the edges and it was absolutely stunning!
Once we got everyone ready, these two shared a sweet first look on the lawn of River Creek Club while their friends and family watched from the balcony above! After completing all of the bridal party and family pictures before the ceremony ( which is, hands down, my favorite thing to do! It makes the day run sooo much smoother!) it was time for them to relax before they said “I DO.” These two shared their vows in front of all of their family and friends and you could feel the love radiating off of all of them!
Then it was time for my favorite part, THE PARTY! A2Z Music Factory is one of the best DJ’s in town and this party was no exception! He played all the right songs, and Jessica even had me put my camera down and dance with her to a few! It was definitely one of the best parties I have ever been to, and I am SO grateful they chose me to share these moments with them
And a huge thank you to the incredible vendor team that made this all a reality for them!
