This colorful Washington D.C. wedding was a dream! Colleen and Duy are, hands down, the sweetest and most down to earth couple I have ever met. When I met them at their first meeting, I knew their day was going to run so smoothly and be absolutely gorgeous. A few hiccups in the planning process couldn’t deter these two, and everything ended up working out so beautifully in the end. Even rain in the forecast didn’t stop them from having the time of their lives!

When the day started, a huge storm was destined to hit the D.C. area, so we had to forego their original plan to have the ceremony at the Jefferson Memorial. The Monaco Hotel still made for the perfect backdrop to their ceremony, and lo-and-behold, the rain ended just moments after they said I DO!

These two were still up for their adventure to The Jefferson Memorial, so we all jumped on the shuttle bus and made our way through the city. I am so, so glad the rain held out for us! These are some of my absolute favorite images I have taken at this monument yet! AND to top it off, it was 4pm on an Easter weekend AND there were barely any tourists! It was an absolute dream.

Once we made our way back to the Monaco Hotel for the reception, everyone was ready to party! After dinner everyone immediately got out of their seats and started dancing. I’m serious when I say, there was a moment where EVERY guest was on that dance floor! If you know me, you know I can’t pass up any chance to dance to some N’Sync and Flo Rida, so watching their guests rock out to pretty much every early 2000’s dance hit was definitely my kind of reception!

It’s safe to say I am officially obsessed with Washington D.C. Weddings!
